Dubai’s love for K-Pop, music festivals and water-based activities to cool off in the summer culminates in this ultimate combination – the Waterbomb Festival. This big-time Korean music festival is making its first-ever stop in Dubai this June as part of a global tour with pitstops in Hong Kong and Singapore. Lucky for us, it’s timed perfectly to provide some relief from the heat.
What exactly happens at the Waterbomb Festival?
As the name suggests, this two-day music festival is all about splashing (or bombing, if you will) concert-goers with blasts of water from cannons. Attendees and performers are divided into two colour-coded groups that indulge in epic water fights while dancing and singing to their heart’s content.
You best show up to this gig on June 7 and 8 at Dubai Festival City in outfits you won’t mind getting drenched in. Besides the main stage’s aqua adventures, Dubai’s Waterbomb Festival will also have a pop-up zone, food zone and a VIP Lounge.
Line-up and tickets
Speaking of performers, Waterbomb Festival’s line-ups have historically included some of K-Pop, K-Hip Hop and EDM’s bigwigs. So far, Waterbomb Dubai’s confirmed lineup features Korean rapper BIG Naughty, girl group tripleS, and the boyband 82Major.
We’ll be keeping tabs on their Instagram page and updating you with more names who’ll take to the stage as soon as we find out. Meanwhile, tickets are on sale on the Waterbomb Dubai website from AED 150 per person.
