City Walk is an outdoor, futuristically designed retail complex with shops, restaurants and tons of various activities. We’ve listed a few of our favourites below…
ACTIVITIES
City Walk has plenty of activities that people of all ages can participate in. Here are our top three…
Hub Zero
Enter this place and you’ll be transported to a whole different world, a futuristic, space themed arcade if you will. The activities range from typical arcade games to karaoke and even laser tag. Sounds like the dream place for a kids birthday party, right? Suitable for visitors 10+

ROXY Cinema
No introduction needed, because who doesn’t love going to watch a movie? With the hot summer months it can be a very necessary escape from roasting in the sun. Check out ROXY’s website to see what movies are showing and if you’re feeling EXTRA then book tickets at one of the luxury viewing rooms which come with your own reclining chair, blankets, pillows and table service. Doesn’t get more Dubai than that!
The Green Planet
The Green Planet is a recently built “indoor rainforest” which acts as a botanical garden that houses flora and fauna. Walk through several levels of this dome and you’ll be surrounded by lush plants and various animals ranging from insects to fish to sloths! There’s even an opportunity to book a one-on-one session with a trainer as they teach you about the cute little sloth and even give you the chance to feed it! Check out their website to book your tickets.

SHOPPING
Considering that it is an outdoor retail centre, of course there’s tons of shops to have a browse in. In the outside section you’ll find several boutique, luxury brand and concept stores with unique limited edition products. There’s also a mini mall that you can enter through the walk on the promenade and discover many more stores all the while enjoying the aircon.
CHILL
City Walk is ultimately meant to be treated as a place to come have a stroll, browse, and look around. So if you don’t feel like shopping, going to the cinema or sitting down for a meal, then we recommend just looking around at what the place has to offer (there’s tons of aesthetic street art). If you get slightly peckish, there’s plenty of food stalls which serve everything from ice cream to coconuts to fresh fruit.
FOOD
Our top two recommendations, but of course there’s endless options to choose from…
Serendipity 3
If you’ve ever seen that romantic comedy with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale, you know the one where they have that meet cute at Bloomingdales when they both want to buy the same pair of gloves and then they proceed to have a wonderful New York night where they stop by to this little cafe and have a frozen hot chocolate? OK well that cafe is a real life NYC hotspot known for its crazy desserts and frequent celebrity customers. Hallelujah for us non-New Yorkers, Serendipity 3 has finally opened in Dubai. Don’t even think about it, you have to try it at least once!

Baku Cafe
If you really want to try a different cuisine, check out the Baku Cafe for traditional Azerbaijani food. You might have not heard of the country, but its gastronomy and culture can be very similarly compared to Turkey’s, so just think of tons of delicious fresh bread, lamb and baklava.

EVENING
Why not end off the day with a cool place where you can sit back, relax, have a drink or even smoke some shisha? If this sounds like something you’re interested in, then head over the La Ville Hotel for a night cap. Check out the instagram picture below to give you some motivation for what to expect!
