Sometimes, when you can’t (or choose not to) travel the world, you just have to eat your way around the globe, and that’s exactly what the Street Food Festival at BurJuman Mall is for. Back for round three after its first-ever outing in 2022, the food festival is an opportunity to sample popular dishes from around the world.
So, just in case that world tour you dreamed of didn’t quite materialise this summer, just head over to the mall’s Pavilion Garden on Level 3. In between the burst of fairy lights, colourful bean bags and vibrant tables and chairs, exist an array of food stalls.
You can snack on delicious ‘Seoul’ food by Meokja, a Korean restaurant in Deira Islands, baked sushi, takiyoki and more Japanese delicacies from Sushi Republik, metre-long boba teas from Moimoi’s Cafe, piping hot Spanish churros from Churros Cone Café and more.
The street food festival is free to enter and you only pay for the food you purchase. A ton of activities such as foosball, giant Plinko game, billiards, karaoke contests and and free science shows for kids by Oscar’s Labs are also part of the food festival. So your chow time will be highly entertaining.
Keep an eye out for live music and dance performances and roaming entertainers too in between mouthfuls. This year, they’ve got live bands and zumba dance sessions.
Running until August 18, the street food festival is open from 12pm to 10pm from Monday to Thursday and from 10am-12am from Friday to Sunday.
