We won’t complain about any excuse to light up the sky with fireworks, because it’s truly a wonderful sight to see. For those who’ve celebrated New Years Eve in Dubai, you all know the city doesn’t play around when it comes to their firework display. Below are the main locations where you’ll be able to catch the shows…
Dubai Festival City
The fireworks will take place during two days of Eid, at 9:30pm & 10:30pm on both the 22nd and 23rd of August. If you haven’t made it down to Dubai Festival City, now is the perfect opportunity because it’s definitely a place to check out in Dubai.
The Beach
If you’re well adapted to the heat of Dubai, then why not watch the fireworks on The Beach at JBR. You can bring a blanket, some friends/family and look up at the night sky being illuminated by the magical fireworks. You could maybe even, dare we say… have a little picnic? The shows are set to be from 9:15pm onwards, between the 21st to 23rd of August. There’s also ton of other activities to do at JBR, so whether you want to shop or eat, there’ll be a total 50% discount on all activities during the 3 days of Eid.
Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
For those who want to make the most of the days off, then why not head to Abu Dhabi for the day to explore the city and watch the fireworks in the evening before heading back home? Located at Yas Island, the shows will happen over all three days of Eid at 9pm. Yas Island is very lively and there’s always stuff to do, including many restaurants to choose from and a traditional dhow cruise… why not watch the fireworks from the water?
