Can the city of Dubai get any sparklier than it already is? It can and it will this long weekend with some sparkling Eid Al Adha fireworks. Colourful displays are going to explode across the sky this week in two destinations in the city. With only two destinations in the city having confirmed fireworks shows, options are a little scant than in previous years. But what it lacks in quantity, these fireworks displays make up for in quality with breathtaking exhibits that include fireworks and more. As always, they’re free!
1. Dubai Parks and Resorts
When it comes to rolling out a fireworks show during the festive season, Dubai Parks and Resorts has always been dependable. The thrilling indoor theme park and leisure destination is doling out fireworks AND a thrilling Dino Mania Parade this Eid Al Adha. From June 27 to July 1, the grounds at Riverland will be overrun by animatronic dinosaurs at 8pm. The roaring of giant mechanical lizards will be replaced by the boom of fireworks erupting at 9pm across the skies above Riverland. All that for free for five continuous days!
2. Dubai Festival City Mall
Spellbinding editions of Dubai Festival City Mall’s IMAGINE show – laser, lights and water multimedia show- are a staple for every big celebration. Combine that with a glorious fireworks display and the magic is doubled. You can witness exactly that on June 29. Park yourself at the mall’s outdoor promenade to catch a four-minute-long Eid Al Adha fireworks display at 9pm. There’ll be roaming entertainment at the waterside shopping destination as well. Catch the special Eid Al Adha version of the IMAGINE show from June 28 to July 2, after sunset.
