1-3. Watch traditional Emirati bands and folk dances for free live at various Dubai malls

Mall trawls are one of our favourite activities, but there’s a traditional twist for Eid Al Adha this time around. A number of malls around the city will be hosting live Emirati Al Harbia bands and performances by Ayala dancers so visitors can truly get into the spirit of the Eid festivities.
See them live at Ibn Battuta Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Festival City Mall at 4:30pm, 5:30pm, 7:30 pm, and 9:30pm.
Mercato Mall is hosting a Fun Eid Explosion show led by cotton candy performances, face painting, craft and painting workshops, and roaming entertainers from June 6-9.
City Walk is ramping up entertainment during Eid Al Adha with live performances and family activities every evening this long weekend between 5pm and 10pm. From June 6-9.
4. Get your game face on at Ibn Battuta’s VERSUS 2.0
Ibn Battuta Mall’s annual interactive gaming pop-up VERSUS is back for a second run this Eid Al Adha. Give immersive retro Atari and Tetris games a go, button-mashing old-school arcade games and participating in exciting competitions. More info here

5. Take the gang to a one-of-a-kind escape room at SENSAS

This Eid, test all your five senses (sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing) at SENSAS’ unique sensory labs, some of which are pitch-black and others are a riot of colour. You’ll get to face your fears of eating weird foods, touching creepy crawlies (maybe) and donating to a local charity supporting people of determination while you do so! 6. See the Eid Al Adha special IMAGINE Show

The beloved multi-element laser, light, water and fire show at the Festival City Mall is being repackaged with a fresh look for Eid Al Adha this week. Performances are scheduled every hour starting 7pm at the boardwalk. While you’re there, also enjoy traditional cultural shows on the first two days of Eid, 5pm onwards. More info here
7. Sip afternoon tea at the world’s tallest building

Add a teatime twist to your Eid meals this weekend with a fabulous high tea at At.Mosphere with a special Eid Al Adha afternoon. Dainty finger sandwiches, a variety of main courses, and decadent desserts, as well as endless options of teas and coffees, will be available to choose from. Backed by sky-high views, this takes Eid celebrations to new levels.

8. Catch Mohamed Abdo live in concert at Coca-Cola Arena
You could blast the Saudi singer’s hits on the speakers at home, or you could watch him live at the Coca-Cola Arena this weekend. The oud player and singer who has been crowned the title the ‘Artist of the Arabs’ will be performing in Dubai for a second time in a row for Eid Al Adha. Expect to hear his timeless hits from a repertoire of over 60 years, such as Bent Alnoor, Jani Kalam and Haza Sadiqi.

9. Laugh the night away to an Arabic comedy play at DWTC
One Thousand Nights & A Wedding (Alf Leila wa ‘Ares), a cracking good Eid comedy, is set to tickle Dubai’s funny bone this long weekend. Presented by the Marwan team under the patronage of Dubai Al Ahli Theatre, this satirical Arabic comedy play dives straight into the drama, power struggles, and relationship dynamics that come with a marriage.

10. Get chuckling at Aiyyo Shradhha’s stand-up comedy show
Indian internet personality and stand-up comic Shraddha Jain, better known as her alter-ego Aiyyo Shraddha, is going to get Dubai laughing this weekend with her comedy tour ‘So Mini Things’. This 90-minute gig weaves in and out of hilarious anecdotes and the witty absurdity of everyday routines in a regular person’s life.

LDC Kitchen + Coffee has a limited long weekend edition of their unlimited breakfast brunch. Whether you’re an early bird or a late riser, this 8-hour-long brunch offer will accommodate you with dishes like sweet salads, bacon bennie poached eggs, halloumi and beetroot hummus on toast, buttermilk pancakes and more. 26. Spend time in nature at the Green Planet

The indoor rainforest and biodome are offering festive fun with complimentary henna and face painting and Arabic calligraphy sessions from 10am to 6pm. An oud player will play live soothing music you can enjoy while relaxing in the greenery. Families and kids can enjoy movie screenings at the Learning Centre at 12pm; 2pm and 4pm.
Later, sign up for meet and greets with creepy crawlies like snakes, millipedes, snails, and cockroaches, but do that before you dig into the special Arabic platter being offered for Eid, which has delicacies like falafel.
