d3 is honestly one of the most interesting places to explore in Dubai, but for the purposes of this article we’ll keep it short and focus on one of their hottest attractions; an urban park that’s perfect for skating, shooting hoops, rock climbing and hanging out.
You might be wondering what exactly makes this park so interesting, how does it stand out from the rest and what’s so different about it? Well, other than fulfilling its purpose as a place for kids/adults to be active or chill out and enjoy the d3 Waterfront, The Block’s building process took place over 7 months by repurposing 30-ton concrete blocks from the Dubai Canal construction.

The Block project was led by landscaping studio, desert INK; known for their collaborations with massive projects in the GCC area such as the Sustainability Pavilion for Expo 2020. This type of sustainable mindset is what Dubai increasingly strives to implement when possible. We invite you to have a walk around and discover all the little areas that are open to the public, from volleyball nets, table tennis stations, outdoor gym equipment, an “urban” beach, skate park, rock climbing zone and the famous basketball court.

If you’re not particularly keen on sweating it out, you can always just check the place out and catch some of the pro skaters (most of them are quite young) do their thing!
Opening times: 7am – 11pm.
