Poke Bowls started becoming trendy a year ago and it looks like they’re here to stay. If you’ve never tried them, here’s a little history: poke (pronounced poh-kay) means chunk of raw rish in Hawaiian and is usually served on top of rice and other veggies. This traditional Hawaiian dish has inspired the recent craze and Dubai has no shortage of restaurants with their own signature twist to the concept. Here are our three favourites…
Poke Poke
Everything you’ll find on the menu is not only healthy and delicious but also gluten-free which means you can freely choose any of the dish combinations without worrying about getting bloated. Poke Poke prides themselves on taking everything we know and love about sushi and putting it in an easy to eat container, so what’re you waiting for… try this place out for your lunch tomorrow!

Cali-Poke California Seafood House
As you can probably guess from the name, this restaurant is a chain hailing all the way from sunny California. After achieving success locally, they decided to branch all out and try their luck in Dubai. What Cali-Poke is known for is the creation of their signature poke taco (pictured below), so make sure you try it out when you eat here!

Poke and Co
Just like the other two poke spots above, this one equally serves all the fresh and healthy ingredients that your heart desires. You can also find a list of acai bowls, cold-pressed juices, coffee and vegan snacks as they’re committed to sustainable sourcing of their food. Although a poke bowl is known for raw fish, if you’re vegetarian/vegan don’t worry because there are plenty of meat/dairy-free options available for you.
