Did you happen to see the image of Sheikh Mohammed in the sky last night next to the Burj Al Arab? If you missed it, just take a look at the picture at the top of this article.
In what is possibly the most extra news of the week but also completely unsurprising for Dubai, hundreds of drones segregated around the Burj Al Arab for a stunning display of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s faces, as well as written out words saying “Thank you Sheikh Mohammed” and an Arabic message about 2019’s Year of Tolerance.
It’s safe to say that the bar has been set really high for our expectations of extraness for the remainder of the year… just a reminder that we’re only two weeks in. The crazy display was achieved by hundreds of drones carrying lights in order to produce the images/words. As we’ve now entered the Year of Tolerance, the UAE is on the path for achieving and enforcing its goals for these next 12 months, which are categorized by Five Pillars. Everyone living in Dubai is invited to join the initiative to be welcoming, cooperative and open to cultures, religions and people.
