Papa Dubai can preach whatever it wants to. Sorry, Madonna. The collection of 9 different bars inside one restaurant at the V Hotel, Al Habtoor City has been turning the heads of Dubai’s jetsetters. As if that wasn’t a feat in itself, Papa Dubai has also gone and snapped up the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards title as the venue with the best design in the Middle East.
And what an incredible-looking venue this cavernous 12,000 ft dining and entertainment destination is. Each of its nine Instagram-worthy venues is inspired by a particular drink and the country it originates from. Specific attention has been paid to ensure the décor and art of each bar is not just jaw-droppingly beautiful, but also have distinct vibes and reflects the culture of the place it hails from.
So bar-hopping here will literally involve hopping a few feet over to arrive at a new venue, but it will also be the most entertainingly tipsy version of a cultural crash course there is.
You’ll be immersed in imagery of sugar skulls and popping neon lights when you saunter through Tequila Road and Mezcal Street, while Champagne Avenue is bedecked in bubbly pinks and Parisian chic. Japan’s wooden artistry and dramatic ink-wash paintings will envelop you in Sake Alley and the Rum Station is modelled to look like a tiki bar-style holiday paradise, a nod to the liquor’s Caribbean roots.
Nine different Instagram-worthy backdrops await for you to arrive dressed to the nines and level up your selfie game. This must be what being on cloud nine must feel like…
Tantalizing tipples are mixed up in a futuristic-looking mixology lab, where some of the world’s top bartenders will concoct experimental off-the-wall cocktails such as goat cheese gin. Besides combining picture-perfect decors, and oodles of gorgeous drinks under one roof, Papa Dubai also serves up delicious dishes crafted under the supervision of Peruvian head chef Emanuel Alvarado.
While theatrical bartending and dreamy-looking dishes check out the F&B boxes of a perfect night out on the town, this quirky venue also has a popping entertainment scene with DJ nights on Thursday and a chic VIP lounge.
