With a month-long of football games coming up, everyone around the world gets together to watch match after match. There’s plenty of places to watch the football games, but for the purpose of this article we’ve listed our 5 favourite sports bars where you can get as loud with your cheers as you want!
The Irish Village
The Irish Village is a favourite amongst foreigners in Dubai, particularly those from the UK / Ireland… no surprise there! They’re all set up and ready for the FIFA World Cup, with massive screens everywhere and great service for all customers. Entry is free and the only requirement is that each table has a minimum spend of AED100. It tends to get pretty crowded on the weekends, so we recommend booking a table around this hectic period, and also try the fish & chips!
Garden on 8
Garden on 8 is an outdoor bar with plenty of drinks and food trucks that serve all your bar classics like chicken wings, onion rings, fries and of course, every single FIFA game that’s happening this month! Before you worry about the scorching Dubai heat, the entire area is equipped with AC (ala true Dubai style) so that you can really enjoy being outside (which is a treat in itself during the crazy summer months). You’ll also find tons of entertainment and even face painting (so you can show off whatever country you support)!
The 44 is located at The Westin Al Habtoor City and is the quintessential sports bar, where you can be sure that the vibe is exactly what you’re looking for during the intense world cup games! There’s tons of deals happening for this month, such as two for one drink deals and such, so take advantage of that while you can!
The Belgian Cafe
The Belgian Cafe is the number one place to come if you’re a die hard Belgium supporter! The bar is also located in the beautiful Madinat Jumeirah, which is a must-see on your trip in Dubai. They actually started the festivities with a party yesterday to acknowledge the begining of the games. There’s tons of special deals throughout the month as well, the best one being that for every game Belgium plays, the bar will have a keg for all after the game!
Bridge Water Tavern
The Bridge Water Tavern has been prepping for this epic month of football for ages, and they’ve got a great set up for you! From the atmosphere, to food, to massive screens all over the venue (there’s even special areas of private seating) it’s just one notch short of being an actual stadium!
