Yesterday we all witnessed history as France won the World Cup for the 2nd time against Croatia in an absolutely thrilling game. People all over the world were watching, whether they were at home, at a bar, or even on a plane… lets see how Dubai showed its support to the winning country.
Well, the biggest statement of support was definitely that the Burj Khalifa was lit up with the colours of the French flag, with the word congratulations written vertically alongside it. Check it out below!
HH Sheikh Mohammed also wrote a tweet which can be seen below, loosely translated he congragulates France for winning, Croatia for putting up a good fight and Russia for the organization of the FIFA World Cup.

The viewers at Barasti Beach Club were also very excited to watch the game and see France win, amongst a group of fun people and a few drinks! See them cheer and celebrate below… looks (almost) as fun as being on the Champs Elysees.
One of the least expected places to watch a football game is on an airplane right? Well, for some lucky passengers travelling on Emirates flights, they got to be part of the unexpected and watch the game live. You can see passengers celebrate the win by cheering and prancing around through the aisles. So much energy is hardly ever seen on planes!
