When Dubai Islands Beach opened last year, pet parents around the city were excited that Dubai finally had a spot where their dogs and cats could splash around and cool off. Continuing with that paw-sitive legacy, developers Nakheel have opened a dog park in Dubai Islands where pets can run without leashes.
Where is the dog park located inside Dubai Islands Beach?
Beach bums and their fur babies can find the 460 sq metre of open space as soon as they enter the beach. It’s handily fenced off and far enough away from the shore so tiny puppies or dog breeds without swimming abilities stay safe. Dedicated to dogs, the sandy park allows canines to run, walk and roam leash-free as well as play and socialise with other doggos. No more worrying about leads getting in the way of post-swim zoomies.
And the barking good fun doesn’t end there – the new dog park is also fitted out with playground equipment that allows dog owners to train and teach their pups a few tricks. The park boasts a ramp, an agility seesaw, an obstacle course with slalom posts, a hoop ring for dogs to jump, beams to weave through and a high jump platform.
Adding to the list of dog-friendly conveniences are a special dog waste bin and dispenser, a pet shower and a drinking fountain for dogs. Essentially, this dog park has thought of everything you and Fido could possibly need on a day out. And we do mean a proper 10-hour-long outing as the park is open daily from 8am to 6pm.
