If you’re familiar with Dubai then you’ve probably noticed some of the insane art installations that can be found in various spots around the city at different times of the year. Have you ever wondered who’s behind them?
Art Emaar is the initiative that’s responsible for the displays that can be found all over the city; they curate everything about which pieces are chosen, with the aim to transform Dubai into a colourful, culture rich city with inspiration and imagination at every corner. Since a little art never hurt nobody, what better way to spice up your strolls around the city than with some gorgeous and unique installations!
Collaborating with various international and local artists, the installations are changed up every couple of months, so if you didn’t get a chance to catch them (or snap a picture) we’ve put together a photo gallery below of some of our favourites over the past two years!
P.S. the gorgeous rainbow coloured wings (Global Angel Wings by Colette Miller) featured at the top of this article are currently on display on the Burj Khalifa observation deck. Make sure you hurry on up before it’s too late, oh and yes, the wings look familiar because they’re the same iconic ones that can be found on the streets of Downtown LA.
