Have you heard about the world island project just off the coast of Dubai?
Yes you read the title right, there actually is a way to get a taste of Europe when you’re in Dubai. Learn all about the Heart of Europe and the World Island project below.

The Heart of Europe is an architectural project with the aim of giving visitors a truly authentic experience of being in various European cities without actually having to travel there. This will be done by recreating the most famous and well-known designs, historical heritage, etc. of certain cities, to give a taste of the culture one can find in the cities.

The project includes 14 hotels that each take on the essence of a particular city, as well as underwater villas and wait for it – snowy streets! For those of you living in Dubai, what other staycation is as crazy as travelling to “Europe”??

Located within the World Islands, which are a manmade recreation of the world’s continents (that can be seen from space), the Heart of Europe is one of the first parts of the map that will be open to the public by 2020.

The video below gives a tour through the islands and what you can expect them to look like:

Out of the 6 islands that make up Europe, the biggest one is called Main Europe which will be a mixture of inspiration taken from Rome, Vienna, Cote d’Azur, Monaco, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Andalusia and St Petersburg. Sounds like an insane mix of cultures, doesn’t it? An ambitious project for sure, but an exciting one which unfortunately we still have to wait two more years for!
