What you can have a whirl at guessing is the ranking that the Burj Khalifa bagged on the list of the world’s best viewpoints.
The world’s tallest building missed a spot in the top three by a whisker – the Burj Khalifa has been voted the 4th best viewpoint worldwide, according to a recent study by Remitly .
But hey, making it to the top 5 is still a splendid achievement and there’s no denying that the dizzying views of Dubai city from Burj Khalifa are one of the most breathtaking sights in the world.
Over one million TripAdvisor reviews for landmarks, common tourist spots and viewing points in cities in over 260 countries around the world. Of the lot, New York received the most positive mentions of the word ‘view’ and was crowned the winner. Burj Khalifa received an astounding 28,518 mentions of the word view. Bravo! Another feather added to Dubai’s cap of superlatives of tallest, biggest, and the best.
Wondering which cities beat Dubai to second and third place as world’s best viewpoints? It was a tight competitor between London’s London Eye as the runner-up with 34,972 mentions and Paris’ Eiffel Tower, which took the third spot with 32,875 mentions.
We’re proud of Dubai for making holding its own amidst such tough contenders. Viewpoints aside, our City of Gold has also been making its mark on the global food scene with its very own Michelin Guide that was revealed in June 2022.
All that said, it comes as no surprise that Burj Khalifa has received such positive reviews. There are two observatory viewpoints for guests to choose from – At The Top View at level 124 and At The Top Sky View which takes visitors to the 125th floor of the Burj Khalifa.
Both vantage points offer sweeping views of the city from a height of 400 metres above the ground. Needless to say, during sunrise and sunsets, the view of the city from here is doubly breathtaking and you can catch a hint of the ocean’s blue-green as well as the golden desert dunes.
