Here are a few of the places you can find all the Oktober-festivities that you’re looking for…
McGettigans
If you’re Irish then chances are that you’ve been to this bar at some point, it’s definitely one of the most well-known spots in the city to grab a few pints, watch football and be around an overall friendly crowd of people. They’ve organized their very own Oktoberfest for this year and it’s happening from now until October 4th, so you have plenty of time to make it down before it ends. There’s plenty of deals for German sausages, drinks, brunch, etc. The good news is that there’s no need to worry about reservations, the bad news is that it tends to fill up quite quickly so make sure you don’t get there too late otherwise you’ll be left without a table.
QD’s 2.0
The QD tent is located at the Emirates Golf Club and they’re holding their very own Oktoberfest from the 4th to 14th of October. They’ll be serving only the most traditional assortments of beers, with entertainment and games throughout as well. The entry costs AED 50, but if you want to get in for free then the only condition is that you dress in those fun Bavarian outfits. Not too much of an ask is it? Open from 5pm to 2am daily.
Garden on 8
Garden on 8 take the festivities to another level by giving every guest a passport which gets stamped everytime you finish a beer! Once the whole thing is filled, you give in your passport and enter a raffle draw that gets announced at the end of the festival. They’re handing out a multitude of prizes such as weekend getaways, brunches, vouchers, etc. German DJ EleKtronoiR will be playing all the jams to make sure the vibe is A+ and what’s even cooler is that the official Oktoberfest in Munich will be live streamed so it’ll feel almost like the real deal. Taking place from 27th of September to the 13th of October.
Barasti Dubai
Barasti Dubai is like the OG beach club in Dubai and if you’ve never experienced partying there then you’re definitely missing out and you should check it out as soon as you have time. Oktoberfest is happening from the 20th to 28th of September, so try to book a day in your calendar to experience the festivities before it’s over! Entry is free, there will be live music, traditional German food and delicious beer.
