If you’ve been waiting for a slight break from the usual sunshine, the UAE weather forecast this week is onto something different. Imagine clouds, scattered showers, breezy winds, and cooler temperatures in Dubai. According to the National Centre for Meteorology, a low-pressure system is moving across the region, bringing unsettled weather conditions to several parts of the United Arab Emirates through the week.
Expect cloudy skies, chances of rain, fresh winds, and fluctuating temperatures across cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the Northern Emirates. (Yes, it’s that rare time when residents collectively ask: Do I really need a jacket?).
Here’s your day-by-day UAE weather forecast so you know when to pack an umbrella, or at least prepare for a moody sky.
Tuesday, March 10: Cloudy skies and scattered rain
The week kicks off with partly cloudy to cloudy conditions across the UAE, with rainfall expected in scattered areas. Temperatures may dip slightly, especially in western regions of the country.
Fresh winds are also expected, occasionally stirring up dust in exposed areas, which could briefly reduce visibility in some places. Waters in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea may become rough at times.

Wednesday, March 11: More clouds with chance of showers
Cloud cover continues midweek, with light to moderate rainfall possible in coastal, northern, and eastern areas. Temperatures will remain relatively mild compared to the usual March warmth, while winds blowing north-westerly to north-easterly will reach up to 40km/h.
Humidity will rise at night and Thursday morning in some regions. Expect breezy conditions in some locations. The perfect weather for beach walks, not so great for perfectly styled hair.
Your hair vs UAE wind: choose one.
Thursday, March 12: Breezy with occasional rain
Thursday is expected to bring continued cloudy weather with intermittent rain in parts of the country, especially along the coast and in western regions. Wind speeds could reach up to around 35–45 km/h, occasionally causing blowing dust in open areas. Humidity will be on the rise and seas in the Arabian Gulf will be rough.
Translation: keep sunglasses and tissues handy. Dusty air plus wind is basically the UAE’s version of “stormy weather.”

Friday, March 13: Gradual clearing, mild temperatures
By Friday, conditions may begin to stabilise slightly. Skies are likely to remain partly cloudy, though rain chances may decrease compared with earlier in the week. Temperatures across many cities are expected to hover around 28°C to 30°C during the day, with cooler evenings.
Dubai winter fans don’t need to go into hibernation yet, there’s a chance of morning mist along coasts!
Saturday, March 14: Brighter skies return
The weekend could see a gradual (stress on ‘gradual’) return to clearer skies, with partly cloudy conditions and a possible slight rise in temperatures. While isolated clouds may still linger, the UAE is expected to slowly shift back toward its more familiar sunny pattern.
Weekend plan forecast: brunch, beach, repeat.

UAE weather outlook: What’s causing this week’s rain?
Meteorologists say the unsettled weather is linked to a surface low-pressure system combined with an upper-air extension, which is moving across the region and bringing cloud formation and rainfall.
Such weather patterns occasionally bring rare bouts of rain and cooler temperatures to the UAE, particularly during late winter and early spring.
