There are several food trucks scattered around the city and if you’re really keen on finding one, then you most definitely will. We’ve listed our three favourites below to make things a little simpler for you…
SALT started out as a little food truck on Kite Beach, with one main focus in mind: a simple menu with tasty, fresh ingredients. It started gaining popularity from the crowds that frequented kite beach, so they decided to take the concept one step further and expand to a beach house resort where all “SALTERS” can enjoy good food and good people. Check out their menu for a taste of what you can expect! FYI, their Kite Beach truck is still in the same place as when it first opened, so if you’re having a beach day then this is the perfect little place to grab some lunch.
Umm… is there anything better than some Mexican food? Tacos are like the quintessential food to get from a food truck and we absolutely can’t get enough of the ones at Calle Tacos. Coming all the way from Hollywood, they decided to expand their business idea to the UAE and grace us all with their delicious food. Apart from tacos, you’ll find all of the Mexican food your heart (or stomach) could possibly desire; burritos, quesadillas, you get it. If you’re craving it right as we speak, you’re going to have to wait till the weekend because they’re opening times are; Fridays 9am-6pm at Zabeel Park and Saturdays from 3pm-11pm at Creek Park.
Last Exit was created for all the hipsters out there who were demanding more food trucks. So they opened shop in not one, not two, but three different locations. You can find their trucks on Sheikh Zayed Road (what a genius place to put one), Al Qudra (D63) and Al Khawaneej (D89). In true food truck style, they cater all of the good good that you’re looking for like burgers, pizza, etc (all the stuff we’ll regret the next day, but we’ll let it slide).
Happy eating and if you check out any of these then make sure to post an Instagram picture and tag #secretdubai, your post might end up featured on our page.
