It’s not a typo, really. You can actually dive into a pool and sit immersed in water as you watch animated flicks at the The Green Room’s Dive-in outdoor cinema experience.
Just when we’d relegated ourselves to the idea that summer will drive us indoors this July, this clever new alfresco movie concept has reeled us right out.
Dubai’s no stranger to poolside outdoor movie nights, but a film screening that lets us be INSIDE a pool… now that’s a first, and colour us intrigued! It’s like watching a movie in a relaxing and luxurious bath, but on a giant projector screen and without running the risk of dropping your phone or laptop into the tub.
Movies are over an hour long, won’t we get pruny?
The in-pool seating includes the choice of bobbing around on a pool float while you watch the movies. And if you’re wary of watery depths and like your outdoor cinema experiences on dry land, then you can also opt for pool-side seating on sunbeds.

Lead us to the Green Room!
The Green Room is the newest family dining and dining destination at the Els Club Golf Course in Sports City. Previously The Pangolin, the venue’s geared to become the next neighbourhood hangout. As far as we’re concerned, they’re on the right track with this fun poolside outdoor movie night that happens every Friday.
Bordered by palm fronds and flashes of greenery, the pool resembles an inviting oasis and you can settle down into a lavish movie night that includes a three-course menu and unlimited popcorn. They had us at unlimited popcorn. Other munchies on the menu also include pizzas, tacos and more.
