For those that aren’t aware, a souk is an Arab marketplace or bazaar that sells all types of items. There are several of them spread around Dubai and if you haven’t gone on a souk crawl yet, then have a look through our list for the best ones you can find in the city!
Gold & Spice Souk
If you’re a jewellery lover, an admirer of shiny things, an avid cook and spice aficionado, then put a trip to the gold & spice souk at the top of your to-do list while you’re in Dubai. You’ll find the spice souk first, with the most lush selection of flavors you’ll ever find. Continue along to the end of the souk and you’ll enter the next one with all the gorgeous gold. We’ve listed the most important things you should know about both places to help you feel more prepared once you get there. To find out what the list is, check out our article here.

Perfume Souk
Kill three birds with one stone and follow the yellow brick road up from the Gold & Spice Souks and you’ll stumble into the Perfume Souk. The scents can either be in perfume, essential oil, incense sticks and of course, the famous oud that’s always a popular purchase to bring back home. The vendors are extremely knowledgeable about the oud they sell, so ask them any questions you may have! If you’re feeling creative, you can get your own personalized scent bottled up.

The Souk
This one can be found inside the massive The Dubai Mall, its existence would probably shock most as its Arabic design stands out against the overall modern and Western design of the mall. You’ll be able to find it just by the second entrance to the Cheesecake Factory (where the massive fossil structure of a dinosaur stands). Expect to find loads of handcrafted jewellery, with inspiration taken from Emirati heritage.
