A blue ribbon was cut to officially open the new Pacsun store in Mall of the Emirates, drawing a crowd for the brand’s introduction to the city’s retail scene. The launch event combined the retailer’s signature youth apparel with special appearances and in-store activities.
Known for its Californian roots, the store displays a prominent aesthetic aimed at younger shoppers, stocking ruffled tops, denim shorts, and sheer lace garments. The interior features framed campaign photography and a decorative wall installation of vintage black rotary phones. Alongside the women’s apparel, a men’s collection is available, showcasing items such as a striped jacket detailed with retro automotive patches.
Guest Appearance and In-Store Activities
Artist Al Shami attended the launch as a special guest, drawing fans into the retail space. Wearing a green overshirt and cap, he spent time on the shop floor chatting with attendees and signing a stack of grey t-shirts for the gathered crowd.
During the opening, staff handed out boxes of branded popcorn, while baristas served complimentary iced coffees from a pop-up espresso station. The brand also set up interactive zones for early customers, including a station for applying face glitter and an artist providing temporary airbrush tattoos on the shop floor.
The opening establishes a dedicated space for the American brand’s casual fashion lines within one of the city’s major shopping centres.
