It’s called Once Upon a Time in Dubai, and it’ll be having its world premiere in December 2025 at one of Dubai’s best cultural venues. Once Upon a Time in Dubai takes place against the colour and celebration of Diwali, and tells the story of Sophia and Will, whose love story takes a turn for the tumultuous when they arrive in Dubai to pursue their dreams. Can they overcome the rough patch in their relationship, and help mount the most spectacular stage show the city has seen? Expect a few twists and turns along the way before the curtain falls, as the duo try to mend their broken hearts.
The musical features original songs, thrilling performances, and surprises that unfold before your eyes. Excitingly, the city of Dubai is as much a main character as Sophia and Will, showcasing the magic and romance that can be found around every corner. As the very first musical production born and raised in Dubai, it’s a love letter to the city we know and love, and the show will have you tapping your feet and humming the songs for days afterwards.
