The everyday losses and most forgetful city in UAE
Boxing belts and industrial metal blades don’t make the cut, of course. The everyday essentials are a staple for every lost and found bin at Uber. If you’ve lost any one of the following items, you’re not alone and probably won’t ever be.
Commonly misplaced items include phones, luggage, wallets, headphones, glasses, keys, passports, clothing items, laptops and jewellery.
Sharjah officially wins the title as the most forgetful city in the UAE, with Fridays being the most dangerous day of the week for lost items. Friday afternoons, specifically, seemed to be the time when people check out their brains early.

The peak for number of items lost in a day was November 2, 2025. If you forgot something that day? Remember that you contributed to a larger cause and helped the numbers shine.
