The world is moving fast and news is rolling out more than ever. With algorithm changes, AI taking over and constant updates, it is easy to lose trust in everything. To make things a little easier for you, there is a new feature on Google called Preferred Sources. It lets you choose which news outlets and websites you’d like to see more often in your ‘Top Stories‘ section. This feature launched in the UAE earlier this year and if you’d like to see more of Secret Dubai on Google, here’s what to do and how it works.
How to add Secret Dubai as a preferred source on Google

The easiest way for you to do it would be to click this link, and then tick the box that says “Secret Dubai”.
You can also update your preferred sources through Top Stories. To do it:
- Search for a news topic and click on the icon to the right of Top Stories
- Search and select as many preferred sources as you like (such as Secret Dubai *cough cough*)
- Refresh your results

What you’ll see after adding us to your preferred sources
Once you’ve made the change, you’ll see articles from Secret Dubai get featured more prominently on Google’s Top Stories, or in a dedicated ‘From Your Sources’ section on the search results page.
This way, you’ll get more curated, local coverage from us, and your other trusted sources. You can update or change your preferred sources whenever you want, and don’t worry, you will still be able to see stories from other news outlets!
