Jumeirah Lakes Towers
JLT is a residential area in the city close to the bustling and hectic Sheikh Zayed road. Take a walk around and explore the beautiful lakes and if you manage to find the McGettigan’s bar, then why not end the walk with a quick bev? If you’re peckish and planning on getting some food on the walk, then you’re in luck because there’s a strip of restaurants, cafes and ice cream places that all look so tempting, it’s hard to settle on which one to go to.
Kite Beach
Kite Beach is one of the many newly built projects in Dubai. This place offers the full beach experience with modern facilities, from sunbed/umbrella rentals to little stands that sell coconuts/fruits/boutique items to various restaurants that serve the best fast foods like tacos, burgers & fries, pizza, and great ice creams! This beach is extremely popular with kite surfers (if you haven’t guessed from the name) due to it being the perfect windy environment. If you love being active, then this beach is perfect for you as they have tons of water sports available! Most importantly, there’s a large promenade that’s perfect for a jog or simply a stroll next to the sea and the vibe is very reminiscent of Santa Monica in Los Angeles.
The Palm
The Palm is a pretty chill place to hang out in itself, so we’d suggest just walking around and familiarizing yourself with the area… it’s a pretty crazy architectural and man-made project so you might as well soak it all up. There are also several cafes around the area, you’ll most likely find them on the ground floor of the apartment buildings.
Arabian Ranches
Arabian Ranches is one of the oldest and most glamourous gated communities in Dubai, with stunning houses and a renowned golf course. The entire walk around the area is about 10km, which is a pretty significant distance and definitely more than enough daily exercise if you’re trying to commit to a daily workout.
Burj Park
As suggested by the name, Burj Park is in the heart of Downtown Dubai, one of our favourite places to hang out in Dubai. With fantastic views of the Burk Khalifa and right next to the Dubai Mall, it’s the perfect place to come if you’re looking for a break from the crazily packed area around the Downtown Fountains. The path is slightly elevated, so it’s a great place to go for a job or speed walk, the entire way round is about 2.5km and the best news is that it’s dog-friendly!
Dubai Marina Promenade
Taking a stroll around the Marina is the calming experience that you’re looking for because it’s situated right next to the water where all of the gorgeous boats and yachts are docked. Something about walking around water is so relaxing and will put you right at ease!
JBR
The Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is a strip of apartments, shops, restaurants and hotels that are located right by the sea. There’s plenty to discover and all can be done by foot. Check out our guide here.
