If you want to start the festive season early, this Sunday has a hands-on option. riina and Studio Kinza are running a scent-filled Latte Candle-Making Workshop at Meadows Village, Dubai on November 1. If you love the aromas of Christmas evenings and warm cosy midnight naps near the fireside, this one’s for you. You’ll pour and decorate your own candle, then take it home at the end of the session.
A latte candle-making workshop in Dubai
You can choose from around 25-30 scents and mix them to create a fragrance of your own. If you want something seasonal, the festive range includes Clove, Christmas Spice, Nutmeg and Apple & Cinnamon. Once the scent is set, you can personalise the candle with glitter, faux snowflakes and bows. Cloves, star anise and cinnamon sticks add a finishing touch to both the look and the fragrance.
The workshop will cover the introduction to candle making, methods of candle making, benefits of soy wax, candle making equipment and the art of blending fragrance oils. The ticket covers all candle-making materials, a selection of canapés and one beverage.
