The latter’s creators – HyperSpace – are keeping that hot streak going by adding a new digital attraction to Dubai Mall called House of Hype. Having taken Riyadh by storm last year, it’s Dubai’s turn to see what all the hype is about.
House of Hype – 100 entertainment experiences
The vibrant Chinatown annexe in Dubai Mall will be home to this new entertainment zone on February 7. It’s a one-of-a-kind mish-mash of everything you’d want – gaming, fashion, food and spaces to create social media content. Talk about being a jack of all trades!
However, they’re the masters of this unique physical and virtual world hybrid that crams in some 100 experiences. While that’s hard to sum up in a nutshell, here’s what you can expect.
Immersive worlds at House of Hype

Augmented Reality-driven fashion, gaming and music videos
<p>For some serious main character energy, make a pitstop at one of the many Content Creator Stages inside House of Hype where augmented reality</strong> is king. Here, you can star in music videos, and generate personalised avatars. Or, try out digital fashion and figure out your next ensemble like Cher did in the 1995 hit Clueless.
Gaming too is social media-driven here and blurs the line between reel and real life. Complete Tik-Tok-inspired challenges, step into immersive video games where you can score digital collectibles, participate in spontaneous game shows and earn HyperCoin, a digital currency you can use to unlock discounts for shopping.
And the show goes on, as it must. Eccentric characters who are part of the roving entertainment around House of Hype will rope you into their shenanigans.
Unique dining and futuristic shopping
House of Hype also promises some off-the-wall dining experiences spread across the park. Shock your tastebuds with cotton candy burritos, fried chicken ice creams and other Instagram-worthy dishes to rival the Dubai chocolate. Meanwhile, shopaholics stock up on weird and wonderful fashion and clothing at 14 retail outlets.
