Steps to redeem free District Gold membership
The first step is to download the application on your phone. It goes as “District by Zomato” and is available on Apple and Android, both. Log in or sign up to the application with your phone number to ease into the process.
Next, you must go to your profile in the application. There, you will see a ‘Membership’ section which has ‘District Gold’ in it. Click on the District Gold toggle.
The District application will instantly guide you to a page which says offers the free Gold membership. Redeem your 3-month Gold membership for free by clicking on the bottom toggle and ta-da! You have District deals for free!
District and Zomato: Are they the same?
Zomato originally made it’s debut in the Unites Arab Emirates in 2012. It was the company’s first international market foray after spending four glorious and on-going years in India. In 2017, Zomato announced that they were offering a premium subscription called Zomato Gold in the UAE.
However, in 2019, Zomato sold its UAE food delivery service and business to Talabat (Delivery Hero Group) for approximately $172 million. In 2022, Zomato shut down in the UAE.
In August 2025, District by Zomato officially launched in the UAE. It became the first international market for the platform, offering entertainment services in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and other Emirates.
