If you eat, sleep and breathe all things fashion, drop everything you’re doing and make a beeline for Alserkal Avenue. Luxury clothing brand Fear of God (how sinfully cool is that name?) has opened a pop-up store in Dubai’s hipster district. Multi-disciplinary space Concrete in Alserkal Avenue is the destination you want to dash to. And I don’t say dash lightly as this three-day limited drop runs only from May 10-12.
Fear Of God is showcasing a capsule range from its diffusion line Essentials that has been specially created for online shopping portal Ounass. Worshipped by A-Listers such as Kanye West, Justin Bieber and Queen B herself, Beyonce, this sportswear-meets-luxury-clothing brand has whipped up Dubai’s fash pack into a frenzy. So if you’re a devoted fan, your only prayer of seizing one of their iconic oversized baggy t-shirts is hot stepping it to this temporary store.
From 10am-10pm, you can rifle through racks of these trendy threads in the brand’s signature neutral colour palette. Think charcoal greys, creamy beige and khaki browns. Can’t bunk work to feed your fashion fix? Ounass will stock the remainder of this capsule collection online once the pop-up store dismantles. So keep refreshing their website from May 13 onwards. Godspeed.
Fashion isn’t my religion, why should I fear missing out on Fear Of God?

Created by American designer Jerry Lorenzo in 2013, Fear Of God skyrocketed to fame partly because of its star clientele and influencer-led hype on social media. And partly because of their minimalist grunge-y aesthetic and simple silhouettes. So maybe you want to tell that friend who always has her head buried in an issue of Vogue and save her the FOMO. Or your brother who’s a sneakerhead constantly garbed in baggy, upscale sweats; he’d love this. Spread the word, do(Fear Of) God’s work. Then steal their hoodie.
