Plans for the construction of newest Dubai skyscraper; Burj Jumeira, have been confirmed in the Al Sufouh Neighbourhood. Here’s what we know of the project so far:
The Burj Jumeira is set to be developed by Dubai Holding and will be the centre point of new area known as Downtown Jumeira. What will stand out most about this skyscraper is the unique design at its base; the fingerprint of HH Sheikh Mohammed. An exact outline of what will be inside the 550m building is yet to be defined, but the base will be home to several cultural events, water fountains, an outdoor amphitheatre and many future firework displays. Looks like Downtown Dubai might have some competition?
The architecture of the tower is inspired by the gorgeous dunes in the UAE desert and the entire outside will take on a more futuristic look with digital displays all around. The floor at 450m will known as The Crown, the summit of the tower with a sky lounge… perfect place for some new views of the city (there will also be other observation decks at different floors).
As for Downtown Jumeira, it will mainly be home to other towers for hotels, businesses, restaurants and more. To better visualise the new Downtown Jumeira area, have a look at the video below:
