What would Dubai be if not for their constant feats in beating and creating World Records? The most recent feat for the city is a giant puzzle that’s plastered in Uptown Dubai, in honor of the Year of Zayed.
It beat the previous record holder by using over 12,000 individual pieces and covering an area of more than 6,000 sq m (almost the size of a football field!). The last pieces were added at its offical introduction amongst a select group of invitees.
The Year of Zayed is a new action put in place by the UAE to celebrate the 100th birthday of late founding father HH Sheik Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The celebration is not only for his birthday, but rather the contributions he made nationally and his international achievments.
