The massive Dubai Mall located in the heart of Downtown, can definitely be a daunting experience if you’ve never shopped there before. Getting lost and finding your way around isn’t as easy as one would think, but like everything else in life – practice makes perfect. Below you’ll find a very simplified guide breaking down each level with the stores/restaurants/activities that we most recommend to try out. Happy shopping!
Lower Ground Floor
Enter through the main door just outside the singing fountains and you’ll immediately see Five Guys on your left hand side. Here our top recs are: Five Guys (juiciest burgers, grilled cheese for the veggies out there, fresh fries), the stalls that go vertically all the way down to the end selling jewellery, souvenirs, and other accessories, and Daiso (a Japanese chain of random cheap products).
Ground Floor/Fashion Avenue
Our top recs: The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, The Cheesecake Factory (delicious American food chain with massive portions), Sephora, The Ice Rink, Candylicious (all the American candy your sweet tooth is craving), % Arabica (the best coffee you’ll try in your life, get the iced spanish latte), The Souk Atrium (modelled after a traditional Arabic souk with knickknacks and souvenirs), The Apple Store (the architecture is incredible and the view from the balcony is amazing) and last but not least, Fashion Avenue (the place to find all the luxury brands we know and love – recently expanded, this place is like a mall of its own).

First Floor
Our recs: Sunglass Hut (brand names and trendy sunnies), Forever 21 (massive, cheap and trendy clothes for both men and women), Laduree (we all love some macaroons), Amouage (perfume like you’ve never tried before) and Shake Shack (more juicy burgers, shakes and fries).
Second Floor
Kinokuniya book store (architecturally aesthetic to walk through and the selection of books is out of this world), Hamleys (heaven for little kids who love toys), Parkers (delicious restaurant with tapas style plates and a secret key for VIP entrance), Kidzania (unique spin on a play centre for kids), VR Park (a newly built virtual reality amusement area), REEL Cinemas (who doesn’t love a day at the cinema, there’s also luxury options available for a higher price), this floor also has all of the electronic stores that sell TVs, cameras, etc. and lastly luxury brands for kids (if you’re extra like that).
Obviously at the end of the day, where you choose to explore is up to you so if you click on each floor, it’ll direct you to the official map of each level. The mall also has screens everywhere that lets you input what you’re searching for and will show you how to get there from your current location.
