Let’s face it, with Dubai’s weather, there’s rarely a bad time to hit the pool. And for year-round swimming, you can’t beat one of the city’s magnificent infinity pools, perfectly primed to take your backstroke from pleasant to unforgettable with their jaw-dropping locations and city views. Dubai’s best infinity pools are found on rooftops, by the beach, even amongst the palms of the desert – and we’ve rounded up a few of our favourites below. Who’s ready for a dip?
1. AURA Skypool
Where else to start besides the world’s highest 360-degree infinity pool? As the sunlight glistens on the waters of the Gulf, and the spectacular sight of Palm Jumeirah unfolds beneath you, you’re going to realise that few other swimming pools will top the majesty of AURA Skypool. Early risers can catch the sunrise with sessions starting from AED200, but the pool is open throughout the day – having said that, it’s in very high demand, so booking will be essential.
The Palm Tower, Palm Jumeirah, 50th Floor.
2. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray
At 59 metres long, the infinity pool at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is one of the longest on our list. It’s also just one of a myriad of delights at this hotel, where you might also spend time in the steam room, sauna, snow room, or any of their ten restaurants and lounges. Quite the day out, isn’t it? Especially with views like that…
Crescent Road, The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
3. SAL, Burj Al Arab Terrace
Water meets the water here, as this pool complex juts out 100 metres into the sea. That results in an infinity pool with a true ‘wow’ factor as the azure waters of the Gulf meet the crystal clear saltwater infinity pool. The main infinity pool is reserved for adults only, for a relaxed bathing and swimming experience, but a separate freshwater pool is open to the whole family to enjoy. Hotel guests can make plentiful use of the pool, but there’s a pool pass option for external visitors (although you’ll need to spend on food and drinks as part of the package).
Umm Suqeim 3, Dubai.
4. Lagoon, Twiggy by La Cantine
One of our favourite beach clubs comes winningly equipped with a delightful waterfront infinity pool, and you won’t hear us complaining. You’ll need a two-person booking to reserve a spot between Friday and Sunday, but this is definitely the kind of place you’re going to want to bring a friend!
Park Hyatt Dubai, Dubai Creek Club Street.
5. Address Dubai Marina
Located on the fourth floor, Address Dubai Marina’s infinity pool commands delightful views of – yep, you guessed it – Dubai Marina. A dedicated children’s pool means that families can spend the day in blissful retreat here, and if you’re getting hungry, the poolside restaurant can take care of any hunger pangs. Oh, and just as a little spoiler, this won’t be the only Address hotel appearing in our infinity pools guide…
66 Al Marsa Street, Dubai Marina.
6. Meliá Desert Palm
The only one of our infinity pools to be located on a polo estate, the Melia Desert Palm boasts a 34.5 metre pool nestled amongst the palms of this beautiful hotel. You’ll be further away from the beach here, but the option to mix your swimming session with horse riding sessions is a nice compromise.
Al Awir Road, Warisan.
7. The Meydan Hotel
Speaking of horses, how about an infinity pool that overlooks Meydan Racecourse? The hotel is dripping with style, and that goes double for the rooftop pool that falls away to provide impressive views of the racetrack. We’re told the sunsets here are pretty special, and the infinity pool day pass makes it an attractive for your next dip.
Meydan Racecourse, Al Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba.
8. Address Sky View
I promised you another Address infinity pool, and here it is. Address Sky View only joined the army of Dubai hotels back in 2020, but its quickly made its name as a go-to spot, thanks in part to that jaw-dropping infinity pool that’s probably been an ever-present on your social media feeds since. You’ll need to be a hotel guest to enjoy it, but surely a view like that is worth – ahem – splashing out once in your life, right?
