Found yourself stuck at DXB for a long stopover and no clue what to do? Check out our list of places to eat, shop and relax below!
Food
Were you even in the airport if you don’t eat at Giraffe? It’s definitely our favourite restaurant and the menu includes everything you could possibly want! For a longer list of what restaurants/cafe’s you can find in each terminal, click here.
Shop
Duty Free
Arguably one of the best Duty Free’s in the world, with prices that you probably won’t find anywhere else! Even if you’re not in the market for anything, what better way to kill time than doing some window shopping? There are also a variety of luxury shops ranging from Chanel, Burberry, Hugo Boss and more.
Relax
Icflix
Connect to their WOW-FI and use their video-on-demand platform; Icflix, for all the latest in Hollywood, Bollywood and Arabic flicks. Or you can always just chill out and enjoy the free wifi to browse/watch whatever you like!
Kids zone
Looking for some downtown from the kids? Let them tire themselves out at the kids zone, where they’ll find several interactive games and a climbing area!
Premium lounges
Unless of course you have a business/first class ticket, which of course means you’re eligible to use any of the lounges. A little secret that not everyone knows is that the Merhaba lounges located across the terminals can be accessed by paying (the price isn’t that crazy either). If you’re a skywards member (blue and above) you can also pay (a small fee) to enjoy the Emirates lounges, which, are definitely worth the money (especially if you have a long stopover). Inside you’ll find a buffet, baristas ready to take any order, in-lounge duty free so you can do all your shopping comfortably, comfortable chairs and more.
Spa time
If you have a really long stopover and an even longer flight, then why not practice some self care? There’s three spa’s around the airport: Be Relax (Terminal 1&3), XpressSpa (Terminal 3), Timeless Spa (Terminal 3). If you fancy a dip after your massage, you can always go to the Dubai International Hotel and enjoy their facilities (not just for hotel guests), you’ll find a gym, steam room and jacuzzi.
Sleep n’ Fly Lounge
The name is pretty self explanatory, if you need to relax and get some sleep somewhere comfy rather than on the airport floor, then head to the Sleep n’ Fly Lounge (Terminal 3). Just like those pods you’ve probably seen on youtube videos of Google office’s, the igloo like shape will give you some privacy while you fall asleep. There are also double cabins available with pull out beds for the little ones! In Terminal 1, you can book your own cubicle at SnoozeCube, little rooms that come with storage for your suitcase, a bed and even a TV!
