Calling all foodies! It’s almost the time of year when the city transforms into a paradise of different tastes and gourmet cuisines… what are you looking forward to most?
Returning for the 6th year in a row, the food festival isn’t just a simple weekend affair but rather 17 days of food trucks, pop ups, lessons with world-class chefs, good people and much more! During the course of the festival, there will be several events related to the gastronomical landscape of the city, we’ve outlined them below:
Dubai Restaurant Week
Live out all your luxury dreams by dining at some of the cities best restaurants, for prices like you’ve never seen before. Have you ever had a full 3 course meal for just Dh199 at a top restaurant? With tons of set menus to choose from, you can enjoy delicious food without feeling guilty for your wallet afterwards.
21st February – 2nd March
Foodie Experiences
Want to take your food knowledge and skills to the next level? With over 20 curated experiences available, you’ll be able to sign up for masterclasses with world renowned chefs, workshops with nutritionists and little tasting sessions from some of the best restaurants in Dubai.
Hidden Gems
In our books, a true foodie can only claim such a title for themselves if they really know the ins and outs of the food scene where they live. What better way to test just how much you know than by entering a competition to see how many people vote for your proposed hidden gem. The top 10 winning places will then offer up set menus for Dhs35 during the DFF.
21st February – 9th March
swyp Beach Canteen
If you love trying international flavours then this is definitely the part of the festival that you’ll enjoy the most. One section of a beach (more info on location to come) will be reserved for local & international sellers to have their food up for taste from anyone who wants to give it a try. Apart from an eclectic range of food from various countries, there will also be other activities to take part in such as fitness related classes and live entertainment to keep everyone in an upbeat mood! This is by far one of the most popular and well known parts of the DFF.
21st February – 9th March
Taste of Dubai
ToD takes place over a shorter time than the rest of the events, which means you have to plan if you want to try it out. The Dubai Media City Amphitheatre will be the backdrop for foodies to taste dishes from the best restaurants in the city. You’ll also find masterclasses, live cooking/music and entertainment. It’s sort of the best of all the other events of the DFF put together in one, over a period of two days.
March 7th – 9th
Dine & Win
Ready to try your luck? Anytime you spend Dhs50 or more at any of the restaurants partnering with DFF, you are automatically placed in the running for a massive raffle that will happen throughout the entire festival. Towards the end, the winners will be announced along with the amazing prizes!
