Caring for curly, coil-y or lock-filled hair in Dubai comes with a specific set of challenges – hard water, punishing heat, and humidity levels that can undo a routine in minutes. On Saturday, 10 October 2026, the Dubai Curl Festival by Oh My Knots will bring the city’s curly-haired community together to tackle exactly that. This is the first event of its kind in the UAE and wider GCC.

The festival is organised by Oh My Knots, a Dubai-based community platform founded by Gertrud Mackenzie and dedicated to curly, coily and kinky hair families. The idea came directly from the community it serves: research conducted by Oh My Knots found that 69% of its members are actively looking for UAE-specific product recommendations, while 77% want simpler, fewer-product routines rather than complicated multi-step regimens.
The program runs from 10am to 6pm on October 10, and covers expert education sessions, live styling demonstrations, wellness activations, and brand experiences. A dedicated Kids’ Curl Corner gives younger attendees a space to see all curl types positively represented and celebrate their natural hair.
Beauty and lifestyle brands will be present throughout the day. Confirmed partners include LUSH and lululemon, alongside curl specialists, product demonstrations and goodie bags from participating hair brands.
