From tours, workshops, events and exhibitions… the Louvre Abu Dhabi certainly lives up to its legendary brand and provides any art lover with the perfect dose of history, culture and more. Here’s what you need to know about the museum:
Although the Louvre officially opened in 2017, the collaborations between France and the UAE goes all the way back to 2007, when official talks of merging together to open some type of cultural landmark began. At its core, the Louvre aims to embody the modernity of the Arab region, its fast rate of growth and overall cosmopolitan landscape.

With art curated and collected by Agence France-Museums, what you’ll find inside the Louvre is an eclectic mix of the open mindedness of Abu Dhabi and the world-renowned knowledge of French participation in art. Other than all there is to explore inside (the path from each gallery is specifically separated in a chronological order, a unique way to govern the visitor’s perception and experience of the museum), the view from the outside is absolutely breathtaking with some of the most stunning architecture found in the UAE.
While we’re on this topic, have you been to the new Etihad Museum?
