Legends say that every fairytale ends with a knight in shining armour on a majestic horse, bursting through open fields to remind you how much they cherish you. Well, the United Arab Emirates witnessed something pure genius. A collaboration between Deliveroo and Best Kept Shared, featuring a horse in shining armour. Just in time for Dubai’s equestrian season and the onset of Fashion Friday (23 January), here is everything you need to know about this commercial!
What happened in the Deliveroo horse video?
In a cinematic video, viewers see a woman step out of her home fully dressed. Seconds later, she realises her outfit isn’t complete, something was missing (a feeling we all have!). With time running out, help seems to swoop in the most unexpected form. A jockey, perched on horseback, trots towards the woman and hands her the missing piece in a Deliveroo bag—a gorgeous Best Kept Shared hat. A smile spreads across the woman’s face isntantly.
Coming around in time for Dubai’s equestrian season and Fashion Friday (23 January), the luxury rental platform and delivery brand pulled a bold move. A last-minute fashion emergency turned into a heroic moment of rescue that has the whole world looking.
Designer accessories, not food deliveries
To announce their launch onto Deliveroo’s platform, Best Kept Shared posted an Instagram reel. Designer dresses could be “delivered to their doorstep in less than 40 minutes in central Dubai and within 90 minutes across Dubai.” Their intent was to make designer dresses as easy to order as a simple pizza. And it worked.
The horse delivery campaign is a stark reminder that creativity and human minds put together can be exceptional for marketing. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, it feels comforting to know that Chanel, Dior or Gucci can be at your doorstep in minutes, doesn’t it?
