If you think you’ve done every major water activity in Dubai, think again. There’s a record-breaking pool in Nad Al Sheba where you can descend 60 metres into a submerged city built for exploration. Welcome to Deep Dive Dubai, the invention that reimagined water activities all over the world, right here in Dubai.
This is not a beach day. It’s not a yacht cruise. Neither a waterpark run. It’s a controlled descent into an underwater city with rooms, streets, and props designed for divers. Whether you’re certified or trying scuba for the first time, this experience puts you inside a vertical world that will leave you flabbergasted. Training, recreation, or underwater filming, the Deep Dive in Dubai is a spot for all.

Scuba diving, snorkelling and freediving experiences at Deep Dive Dubai
Catering to a range of experienced divers and first-time attempters, Deep Dive Dubai offers a range of experiences. Here’s what some of them look like:
Discover Scuba Diving
Want to scuba dive but aren’t sure how to? Want to experience scuba diving for the first time in your life and are pumped about it? This is the perfect package for you.
There is no certification required and so this scuba diving experience is perfect for first-timers (ages 10+) who want to experience scuba diving without enrolling in a full-time course. Beginners receive a briefing followed by a guided descent with an instructor. The depth is controlled and all equipment is provided on-site.
Certified Diver Experiences
For more experienced divers, the Certified Diver experience comes through. Licensed divers can explore deeper sections of the pool, including the underwater city. Routes include corridors, rooms, vehicles, and arcade-style installations. Safety divers monitor all sessions, and Nitrox is available for certified users.

Freediving
Freediving is for ages 13+ and the sessions focus on breath control and depth progression. Courses range from introductory sessions to advanced certifications, catering to everyone. Static and dynamic apnea training is conducted in controlled lanes before depth attempts, to make sure everything goes smoothly underwater.
Snorkelling
For those ages 6 and above, surface-level access is available. This option allows participants to observe the pool structure from above without full scuba gear. All sessions include equipment rental: wetsuit, mask, fins, BCD, regulator, and tanks where required. Please ensure that you attend all briefings, since they are mandatory. Medical forms, too, need to be completed before entry.
Sunken City Walk
The last option in their package is a walking tour of the world-famous sunken city. Guests would be walking 4-metres below the surface with a full-face mask and an expert guide. Highly trained instructors would be accompanying the guests and no swimming skills are required to go on the walking tour in Deep Dive Dubai.
The world’s deepest pool: 60 metres of controlled descent
Guinness World Records confirmed Deep Dive Dubai as the world’s deepest swimming pool for diving at 60 metres, holding 14 million litres of water. That is equivalent to six Olympic-sized swimming pools.
The pool temperature is maintained at a cool 30°C. The water goes through a filter every six hours through a very thorough silicate volcanic rock filtration system. With over 50 underwater cameras monitoring diver movement, there is also a hyperbaric chamber located on-site for safety protocol. The underwater structure resembles a submerged city.
Non-certified divers up to 12m can see a motorcycle, chess table, couch, dominos table, pool table, roller coaster, Mercedes car, World War motorcycle, gas station and arch. Certified divers between 12-18m can enjoy basketball, a mirror, library shelves, tree, marine life photo museum, treasure chest, benches, a Harley Davison, arcade room, street phone, post office box and foosball. Certified Divers between 18-30m can enter the art room, music room, living room, diving room, kitchen and bedroom.
There are lighting rigs underwater for smooth filming and photography. Sound systems allow communication between divers and surface teams. Unlike open-water diving in the sea, there are no currents, tides, or marine variables. Depth markers are clearly visible. This controlled setting allows divers to focus on technique and exploration.
