The historic Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village came alive on 09 November with the breathtaking melodies of The Four Seasons as Candlelight paid homage to the iconic Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi. Hosted by Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, the event brought together talented musicians of a string quartet who performed one of history’s best-known compositions.
Decorated with thousands of flickering candles, the village’s Fort courtyard offered a gorgeous backdrop to Vivaldi’s timeless violin concerti. The classical performance celebrated tolerance and coexistence through music, described by its patron as a “universal language and a bridge for building meaningful connections between nations and diverse peoples around the world”.
The 17th Century heritage village, known in the region for its significance in pearl trading, artisanal products and fishing, amplified the performance’s message of harmony, symbolising a meeting point between past and present.
