That island that we’ve all been seeing from a distance, you know with the giant Ferris Wheel? Well, no need to wonder what on earth is happening there because it’s finally open for business!
Meraas is back with another new development and this time it’s a little island of sorts which is home to 132 shops, restaurants, a new beach and the one and only Caesars Palace Hotel. The biggest and most eye-catching attraction of this island is definitely the Ferris Wheel, known as Ain Dubai – already the largest in the world and equipped with a surprise feature for the adrenaline seekers out there. If riding 150m above the ground doesn’t give you the rush you want, the rope-climbing platform that can be found on one of the legs of the wheel most likely will! It’s not up and running just yet, but it will be very soon.
The other exciting addition is the beach club known as Cove Beach, which was once located at Jumeirah Beach Hotel but now moved to the amazing Caesars Palace. It’s already open so if you’re looking for something to do this weekend – there you go! If you’re wondering where to do your shopping, that’s all located at The Wharf aka retail heaven (unfortunately not all shops are open yet, but it’s worth checking it out and getting your bearings).
For all the foodies and coffee lovers out there, you’ll be happy to hear that the list of restaurants and cool hipster-esque cafes is never-ending. There are also several apartment buildings, with the first load of residents moving in at the start of 2019… you could say we’re just a little bit jealous of the views they’ll be getting. Wondering how on earth you’ll get to an island? Well, there’s a 265m pedestrian bridge as well as the Wharf Link which transports people from Bluewaters to The Beach at JBR and vice-versa.
