Cricket fans, it’s the time of the year when Asia’s top cricket teams battle it out for glory – Asia Cup 2025 kicks off today. From September 9 to 28, the cricket tournament will see the national cricket teams of Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, UAE, Oman, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh chase victory in 19 ODI (One Day International) matches.
Where is the Asia Cup 2025 happening?
It’s happening here in the UAE! The last time we had the honour of hosting the Asia Cup was in 2022. Back in 2023. Match venues are being split between stadiums in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. A total of 11 matches, including the thrilling finals, will unfold at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium will host the other 8 matches.

The opening match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi at 6:30pm (UAE time) got the ball rolling on this epic cricket tournament. All matches start at 6:30pm UAE time, except the UAE vs Oman game at 4pm on September 15.
When is the India-Pakistan match of Asia Cup 2025?
Whatever team you’re rooting for, there’s no denying the thrill of India-Pakistan cricket matches. The arch sports rivals face off in a group stage match on September 14. Based on the outcome, Indian and Pakistan could clash with each other on the pitch 3 more times.
