For all the indie movie lovers out there, this upcoming festival is just for you!
Sharjah’s Art Foundation is bringing a whole new type of cultural activity with the addition of their international film festival this month. Here’s what you can expect:

What a great way to kick off 2019 than with some top quality films, submitted from all over the world? Starting from January 18th to January 26th, you can attend a week long film festival and be part of the critics group to watch over 150 works (including documentaries, indie films and more). Screenings will take place in multiple locations around Sharjah, such as Mirage City Cinema, Al Mureijah Square, Al Hamra Cinema and more.

SFP will also have workshops, discussions and talks surrounding the cinema industry and even a grant for short films. There will be a jury of critically acclaimed professionals within the industry to pick the winners for each category, with cash prizes for those that get selected. If you’ve been craving the opportunity to watch some low-key movies, then this is your chance. For more information visit their website.
