BTS ARMY, time to get marching! And make a beeline straight to BurJuman Mall as that will be the hallowed ground for Dubai’s first-ever BTS pop-up store called the SPACE OF BTS. The Grammy-nominated K-pop boy band’s fans are in for a treat when the highly anticipated store will open its door to throngs of, what we predict, will be screaming ARMY (as the band’s fans are known) when it launches on Friday, September 9 at 10am. Mark your calendars and cancel all your plans for the day.
This Dubai pop-up will only be available in one location: BurJuman Mall’s Level 1 and will stay open for a limited amount of time only. So you want to make the most of the handful of those days and get your mitts on prized BTS merch. Besides featuring collections of merchandise from their songs Black Swan, ON, Butter, Dynamite and more, the BTS pop-up store also packs an added thrill: it has marked out a special space in the store for the boy band’s IN THE SOOP collection.
What’s that? You’re forgiven if you’re not a BTS fan (otherwise bite your tongue.) IN THE SOOP, is BTS’ reality show where band members do activities that have been described as being “somewhere in between everyday life and leisure”.
Run by HYBE, SPACE OF BTS pop-up stores are known to be wildly successful when they’ve mushroomed around the world and are known for insanely long lines of fans queuing hours in advance of the store’s opening. After mesmerising Seoul, Malaysia, Singapore and Toronto, recently, Dubai is the latest lucky destination to house the pop-up concept dedicated to the South Korean boy band. We’ve been told that the Dubai pop-up store will look a lot like it’s Canadian counterpart when it comes to layout.
Awash in the band’s signature purple colour, the store will be hard-core fans’ chance to snap up exclusive merchandise from over 400 different categories of products. From clothing, and accessories, to collectible figurines, there’s plenty to spend your money on. Some of these items are exclusively available only in this pop-up store so keep your eyes peeled.
It doesn’t stop there. Fresh merch will be dropped every two weeks so fans are kept guessing and receive fun surprises. Rounding off all of that excitement will be legendary BTS-themed photo zones, so that visitors can immerse themselves in BTS-themed interactive and experiential experiences.
